RP's History Redemption Productions Theatre Company was created in 2005 as a church based project. Our vision was to deliver original evangelical theatre pieces to people living in at-risk local communities. Our hope was to design and perform works that focus on problem resolution and in turn provide valuable life lessons.
As the target audience base for RP performances grew over time, so did our vision and talent pool. In 2007, RP began to bring its performances to mainstream local theatres. Renting venues and relying on self-promotion and marketing we were blessed to perform multiple pieces in Richmond and surrounding cities.
While RP has been honored to work with local, independent artists, we also look forward to working with up and coming actors and other performers who share our desire to execute quality works that not only entertain, but inspire and motivate the audiences in these communities and beyond.
RP's Mission As a faith-based Theatre Company, RP focuses on evangelism through the production of original theatrical performances. We seek to entertain and inspire our audiences as we encourage them to connect with God in a practical way that enriches their lives on a daily basis. Our style is "soulful" with a uniquely urban flair that connects with our audiences in a very realistic way.
